Our Term-Time and Year-Round Approach

Our Term-Time and Yearly Approach

At Fledgelings Day Nursery, we do not offer term-time-only places, as funding is stretched across the 52 weeks we are open. This approach ensures consistent care and education for children throughout the year, supporting their development without interruption. If parents decide not to use the setting during school holidays, their child’s space will still be protected, providing peace of mind for families.

However, our full fees and charges will apply, whether the child attends or not, as the place remains reserved for them. This policy allows us to maintain high-quality staffing levels and resources for all children, year-round.

Understanding the Early Years Funding

Understanding the Early Years Funding

The Early Years 15 and 30 hours funding are government initiatives designed to support eligible parents with childcare costs, making early education more accessible. The "15 hours funding" provides up to 15 free childcare hours per week for all 3 and 4-year-olds in England, distributed over 38 weeks. This funding aims to promote early learning and development during critical years.

For working parents, the "30 hours funding" offers additional support, providing up to 30 free hours per week. This extended funding is intended to reduce financial burdens and enable parents to work, study, or train.
